My Shopping Saviour!

Let’s face it, food is expensive and the cost of a loaf of bread has been known to bring a tear to my eye! All too often, I find myself muttering “I remember when you could buy this for half the price!”

Aging and inflation aside, when asked how I manage to save on my grocery shopping month after month, the answer is always the same, mySupermarket.

As a long term online grocery shopper, I was a tad ashamed of myself that I hadn’t been using the wonder-site sooner. Like everybody else, I had seen the TV adverts with different coloured baskets stacked high but hadn’t made the connection that this could be a great tool for me to be using.

I first discovered the site when comparing the prices of products for which I had money off coupons. I wanted to maximise the value of my coupons by purchasing the product as cheaply as possible or to my surprise, bag myself a freebie!

After using the site a few times with great success, I noticed you could import your usual shopping bag from your regular online supermarket to grab potential savings. I was astounded to see that I could easily have the same products from a competitor at a dramatically reduced price. Why had I been paying more? I felt like a fool. My loyalty to said supermarket was totally unrewarded and I had been paying over the odds for too long.

That was it, I was hooked.  Since then, I have been delighted to see the site and it’s canny tools develop and my savings stack up!

Id always liked the idea of having a helping hand when doing my grocery shopping, mainly in the form of a strapping young man, but was delighted to discover such an aid in mySupermarkets’ latest offering, My Companion. I just downloaded this clever gadget onto my computer and forgot about it. That was until I set about doing my grocery shopping on-line and up he popped, letting me know the cost of my chosen products across the other supermarkets! It also then sprung up to tell me that there were vouchers available to bring the cost down further and even showed me offers where I would receive cashback. I was chuffed at how efficient my new friend was. He was a keeper!

I’m nicknamed ‘Savvy Annie’ (creative I know), so there was no surprise when I found myself immediately drawn to the Savvy Buys section on the site. Once there, it highlights all of the products that are currently selling at too-good-to-miss prices that you might miss in the store or simply overlook. This has meant I have been able to snap up some bargains and save me cash overall.

In a nutshell, mySupermarket was the final piece in my financial freedom puzzle. I was struggling to keep up with the staggering increases in the cost of my groceries and using this site saw me making savings from my very first visit.
