Slow Cooking For Busy Bitches – Shop bought sauces

Over the past few weeks, I have pretty much lived off the delights that hail from my slow cooker. I’m super busy but don’t want to live off expensive and unhealthy takeaways, so I’m always on the look out for quick and easy recipes.

Easy and Quick Slow cooking recipes

My absolute favourite coupling is a can (or jar) of BBQ sauce thrown over some chicken breasts or legs. I leave it on low for 4-6 hours and come home to the chicken saturated in the lush BBQ sauce and falling off the bone! This also works wonderfully with chicken breasts and of course a rack of ribs. EASY and so tasty you will be making this time and time again!

I usually serve it with a quick 2 minute rice and some vegetables or some fried potatoes. Oh my mouth is watering at the mere mention. Read the rest of my ‘Slow Cooking For Busy Bitches‘ easy recipes now including Slow Cooker Cake and Slow Cooker Jacket Potatoes.

I have lots more of these ‘recipes’ using shop bought sauces so please let me know if you want to see them. These make a cheap, easy and super filling meal for the family.

Please let me know if you give this a try.

  1. Oh please do share your recipes! I love this one so much I plan on making it next week.

We’ve got a slow cooker, but I’m always stuck for new, decent meals and this sounds right up my street.
Also, I’m a rubbish cook, so my husband and little girl would be grateful too. ;)

  2. Hi Kim, glad you liked this! I will post some more in the coming weeks. Enjoy!

  3. Looks fab! Cant wait to try it, getting bored of my quick pasta and tomato sauce on a busy week day routine…
